
The taxi aggregator app, Ola launched it’s new bike riding feature for Jaipur. Post it’s launch on Tuesday, Jaipur became the third city in India to embrace bike riding feature on the app.
The company had launched this feature at Gurgaon and Faridabad. The bike ferrying you to places is another innovative gift which Ola has curated for it’s users.
The company is between talks with concerned officials to add to their fleet of bikes available for service. Sources privy to the matter informed that the company is deploying appropriate resources to cash in on 500 bikes for this endeavour.
The company plans to onboard more than 500 bikes over the next few months. By this time, the company will complete alpha-testing in the Pink city. If the bike feature is received well by the Jaipur commuters, Ola has concrete plans to make Jaipur it’s major operational center.
Kiran Brahma, Business Head, Jaipur acted as a spokesperson for OLA and confirmed the news. He also reiterated that Jaipur market is one of the largest business for Ola. It is flourishing and blooming at an impressible pace.
“The pink city is one of the fastest developing cities of Rajasthan. The city also attracts a lot of tourists almost throughout the year, putting extra pressure on the city s traffic scene,” Brahma said.
“A category like Ola Bike will help the commuters to navigate through city ‘s congested roads. At the same time, it will enable hundreds of men and women take their first step towards entrepreneurship.”
The feature has been well appreciated by the Jaipur audience, especially young boys who thrive on bike fancy and fantasies. Ola Bikes have been made available in Jaipur at Rs 3 per km with Rs 20 as base fare.
