CM Raje lays stress on GST regime 

As the nation is nearing towards the GST rollout date on July 1, CM Raje took this opportunity to drive the focus of collectors on GST.

A GST centric presentation was viewed in the meeting, after which CM Raje directed officials to make optimum use of resources. Rajasthan is having abundant raw material resources for varied industries, therefore paving way for establishment of more industrial units after the new tax regime comes into play, CM Raje suggested.

To be able to leverage GST, it is necessary to understand it comprehensively In this regard, she directed Finance Department officials to make general public and traders aware about the new system and organize training workshops for the district collectors and other officers of concerned departments.

To this, Secretary Finance Shri Praveen Gupta said that maximum benefit from GST is possible as Rajasthan is a consumer state. Not only this, he signaled that GST will curtail down inflation rate as it subsumes multiple state and centre taxes. Cascading effect of taxes will also be eliminated to great extent, he added. Through the onset of GST, small traders concerns would also be addressed by giving them exemptions in threshold limits, he added.

Hard Earned Public Money to be properly utilised

Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje directed District Collectors to ensure that hard-earned public money being spent on different welfare schemes is utilised properly. These schemes which help the poor, deprived, women, youth and other needy sections have put a high percentage of public exchequer on the stake.

The CM asked the Local Self Governance department to order the RUIDP officials to visit sites of different development projects of drinking water, sewerage, drainage, smart cities etc and coordinate with the collectors in respective districts to make sure that projects were completed as per scheduled timeline.

She directed the district and department officers to focus on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana, Mukhyamantri Jan Aawas Yojana and complete the targets in time. She also demanded to shift slum-dwelling families to unoccupied residences made for them in an expeditious manner.

The Chief Minister directed the Collectors and other officers for regular inspections of hostels of for the students of deprived sections of the society, ensure availability of proposed facilities and services at anganwadis and early verification of the lists of social security pension beneficiaries.

Farmers are taken care of under Raje’s stellar schemes

CM Raje directed Disaster Management and Relief department and the Collectors of respective districts for stepping-up the maintenance and repair works in canal-irrigated regions.She also praised them for exemplary efforts in conducting flood relief operations and dousing fire in forest areas.

The Mukhyamantri Beej Swavalamban Yojana would be launched to make the farmers self-sufficient for the availability of seeds. CM Raje suggested officers ensure maximum reach of seeds across the state, for which she directed officials to ensure sufficient stock of seeds and fertilizers for the upcoming Kharif crop season.

A new grievance redressal helpline number will ensure that commoners problems are addressed expeditiously. The security and policing systems are being strengthened under the able leadership of CM Raje. e-National Agriculture Market portal will help fetch a better price to the farmers for their produce.
