Rumours were abuzz that Kapil Sharma mishandled Sunil Grover on a flight. The team was returning from Australia when Kapil got drunk and belittled Grover adding to the physical mishandling which the star comedian did on the flight.
Sunil was infuriated at the star’s indecorous demeanour. On being asked whether he will continue to work with the host, Grover said he needs some time to think over this. He also added that he will soon spell out the final word on this matter.
Grover said, “Please give me 2-4 days. I don’t want to comment on what’s happening. Let me figure out things and I will speak.”
On another hand, a person privy to the matter said, “To even suggest that Sunil is asking for a fee hike to continue with The Kapil Sharma Show, as is being insinuated by a section of the press, is ridiculous. Even if Sunil is offered twice the current remuneration he wouldn’t continue with the show. He has made up his mind to move on.”
Sources also hinted that two other major crew members, Chandan Prabhakar and Ali Asgar are at the verge of quitting the show. However, none of them have confirmed the news.
There was a deep war of words on the flight. Reportedly, Kapil got very drunk. To control him, Grover came ahead, after which Kapil slammed both Chandan Chai Wala (Prabhakar) and Grover. It is also being reported that Kapil called his team member as ‘daily-wage’ earners.
Kapil has locked horns with authorities like Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The matter intensified to an unexpected extent, when Kapil tagged Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and took a jibe on him quoting the Achhe Din title.
Perhaps today, Kapil realized his mistake and took to his Twitter account to publicly apologize to his co-star, Grover. He tweeted, “Paji @WhoSunilGrover sry if I hurt u unintentionally. u knw vry well how much I luv u. M also upset .love n regards always:).”
However, to everyone’s dismay, Sunil hasn’t accepted the apology yet.
