Uttar Pradesh elections are running on the zigzag grounds and also the pioneer parties like Congress and SP are giving the clear signs of alliance in Uttar Pradesh. This has come up with political caricatures and art showing UP CM Akhilesh Yadav as Arjuna of Congress and Rahul Gandhi as krishna of the party.
The poster shows Akhilesh holding bow and arrow and Rahul Gandhi leading the chariot. The poster also shows Samajwadi Party’s symbol of cycle with a slogan which depicts, “Vikas aur Vijay ki or chale do maharathi”. The poster was displayed at the different sections of UP which is currently going through poll season.
Few days back Akhilesh Yadav was handed over the old party symbol of “cycle”, Congress’s alliance news appeared out for the fast approaching assembly elections. To this, the senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi talked about both the parties fighting together for the UP elections. He mentioned it like, “There will be a Congress and SP alliance in the upcoming UP elections. Details about it will be decided in coming days, for now, it can be said there will be Cong-SP alliance under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav.”
Very soon after this announcement was made, Sheila Dixit, the chief ministerial candidate from congress step behind from the battle and decided to support Akhilesh’s candidature. She expressed it like, “I would like to gracefully withdraw as a chief minister candidate, as we cannot have 2 candidates for a single post in the elections.”
The deal of the alliance is almost confirmed where Samajawadi Party will be offering 95 to 105 seats to Congress to which the new comer into the party has agreed.
