CM Raje meets the victims of the Beawar cylinder blast, announces relief; Rs 2 lac for the bereaved families, Rs 50,000 for injured

    The tragic gas cylinder incident in Beawar has taken the death toll to 19 bodies. Over 10 bodies were recovered from the rubble on Sunday.

    CM Raje visited the Amritkaur hospital, Beawar and the Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital, Ajmer and enquired with the victims and the doctors about any aid they’d need. She also insisted doctors to not leave any stone unturned to ensure that the patients recover to normalcy the soonest possible.

    A sum of Rs 2 lac has been announced for the families of the deceased. A sum of Rs 50,000 was announced for those severed injuries or unconscious. The amount will be remitted from the Chief Minister Relief Fund.

    The rescue operations are still being conducted by army personnel and the national and state disaster response force personnel. The rescue operations will continue until the rubble is totally cleared.

    Severely injured patients have been moved to Jaipur from Ajmer for better treatment. TGhe district administration has speeded up the work. CM Raje also appreciated them for being up and about.

    The cylinder blast led to a dreadful collapse of a double-story building. A wedding function and nuptials were going on in the Kumawat Bhawan. The bride’s father Palecha didn’t sustain any injuries and completed the ceremony amidst the sadness. He came to drop her daughter Ritu to Jodhpur to complete the rituals.

    PWD will be evaluating the affected houses and will be announcing a compensation sum accordingly. The Rajasthan government stands like a rock with the victims of the tragic incident.

    Mrs. Raje directed the managing director of Ajmer Power Distribution Corporation to make the area’s electrical system smoother and better. Additionally, the Chief Secretary of Water Supply Department instructed the Secretary to alleviate and mitigate issues related to drinking water and lines on an immediate basis.
