The crime is not just inhumane and disgusting but also disturbing.

With an aim to offer support to the victim and her family, the district administration has extended the sum of INR 4 Lakh to the family. Moreover, the Divisional Commissioner Bhawani Singh has also been directed to be ready in the service of the family. The government is taking care of the health of the child and will also provide aid for her studies.

Recently, the photos of the five year old victim and her parents went viral after which the commission decided to prepare a report on all individuals responsible behind the blunder. These include women Commission member Sushma Kumawat, Congress Leader Arjun Singh, and Shiv Sena leaders.

Cases of rape and sexual assault are quite sensitive and in such cases, circulating pictures of the victim and acquaintances is not just insensitive but also a punishable offence under SEC 228-A of IPC. In this case, while Sushma Kumawat is certainly going to lose her membership, other Congress and Shiv Sena leaders will also face trials in the court.

Meanwhile, CM Raje is personally reviewing the case and has already the police department that the case must be solved as early as possible. It’s important to note that Rajasthan State Assembly has also passed a new bill as per which the culprits raping a minor child can be given a capital punishment. Since the incidents of rapes of minors and gang rapes are on the rise, increasing the severity of the punishment will be able to keep a check on such heinous crimes.
