A video of mayor sitting during Vande Matram is getting viral. This incident happened at the oath ceremony of BSP Mayor Sunita Verma. The situations were turned so that this new mayor wasn’t able to take oath peacefully. The BJP workers started singing Vande Mataram even before the beginning of oath. Well.. this made the mayor Sunita Verma didn’t stand up during Vande Matram.
For peacefully accomplishment of oath ceremony, Commissioner Prabhat Kumar appealed the MLAs to maintain the decorum and not to create noise. In fact, all the new Parshads also took oath at the event.
What’s the matter?
After the election, the newly appointed mayor from BSP Sunita Verma has to take an oath. But BJP members created unrest in the ceremony. The reason behind this unrest is considered to be statement made by husband of newly appointed mayor. He said that there is no provision of singing Vande Matram in Nigam. As BJP workers infuriated over insult of vande matram so they decided to spoil the event. Not only this, they had torn down the posters and hoardings of mayor at oath ceremony ground. The strife between BJP’s and BSP’s workers was quite visible during the event.
