The programme which was started by CM Raje was aimed to accelerate and bolster the digital trajectory of Rajasthan. It was started in 2016 and has become a vehicle of digital growth for the state and its tech-savvy pockets of population.
Due to the far-reaching virtue and the grandeur of Rajasthan Digifest, the first edition of Green-a-Thon was organized during the Digitfest.
Green-a-Thon is a programme which will help and develop solutions which are sustainable. This is essential for cities which are becoming smart and growing. The programme also entailed the announcement of winners. There were prizes worth INR 32.5 ($47.5K) Lakh. Participants use this platform to share their ideas on creating sustainable energy and solve environmental issues.

The Green-a-Thon aims at devising solutions and identifying a balance between sustainable and technological development. The Green-a-Thon gives a chance to people with the Rajasthan government and their projects.
Rajasthan Government has accelerated the pace of such programmes and is making sure they make a difference. This year, the Rajasthan Digifest will be hosted in Bikaner on July 25 and 26 by the Department of IT&C (DoITC).
