The tragic Khasa Kothi incident that resulted in the death of an innocent 8-year-old, took the entire state by storm. To prevent a re-occurrence of unfortunate episodes like these, Rajasthan police has devised a way to knock sense into rowdy drivers of the city. Soon, the unruly over speeding drivers who hit other vehicles, abuse motorists and create a ruckus on road will face the wrath of Rajasthan traffic wardens.

Any offender who’s found violating the traffic rules and driving beyond the permissible limit will have to pay heavy challans. These traffic wardens will be empowered with the charge of issuing challans and seizing the license of culprits on road.

Abhay Command’s Special Traffic Management Centre will Help Traffic Wardens on Duty

Rajasthan that has established a brand new police control room—Abhay Command Centre this month, is set to improve on-road conditions with their high-tech technologies. These traffic wardens will keep tabs on different parts of the city via new CCTVs connected to the police control room.

These CCTVs will be also be connected to interceptor vehicles that will patrol in Khasa Kothi, Tonk Road and Narain Singh circle area. With these strategies, the traffic police can successfully prevent unfortunate road accidents. The Rajasthan police believes it’s essential to crack a whip on drivers to make roads and highways safe for commuting.

We’ve often seen the public buses overflowing with a multitude of passenders. Due to heavy weight, these jam-packed buses collide against one another, in an attempt to overtake other vehicles. The conditions are worse in heavy traffic areas like MI Road, Tonk Phatak etc. To put an end to this practice, the traffic wardens will soon put check on the passenger capacity of mini and public buses.

With JCTSL (Jaipur City Transport Services Ltd), Jaipur RTO and traffic police coming together, the city will soon take pride in its strong, newly reformed police system.
