The Rajasthan Cabinet recently waived off farmer’s loans to the tune of 5,077 crores. This decision comes after multiple other developments in the farmer’s loans space for the favour of farmers. The government has decided to provide a guarantee to the State Apex Cooperative Bank to take a loan from the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) worth Rs 5000 crore to ensure that farmers are relieved of the loan burden. The farmers will be provided loan waiver certificates till August 15. In addition to this announcement, the Cabinet also delayed the camp dates.
Major announcements at Cabinet Meeting
Additionally, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Rathore, who was present at the Cabinet meeting, relaxed the relaxed the two-child norm for government employees. It also approved 13 proposals worth Rs 6000 crores for investment across the geography of Rajasthan. Rajasthan development
These are lucrative projects which could potentially create a thousand jobs in Rajasthan. The projects are in diverse sectors like agro-processing, plastic manufacturing, business process outsourcing, distilleries and beverages, and auto parts, among many others.
There were a host of other developmental announcements made at the meeting. Many proposals were cleared and appropriate amounts were sanctioned. One proposal which was cleared was for giving houses to the families of the martyrs in the Armed Forces. There was also the creation of a committee for the purpose of home Home Guard Recruitment.
