India is progressing, progressing on lines of infrastructure, high-end technology, and maximized economic opportunities, but is it missing out on its values? No, India is a country of morals and values, and certainly, the brush of globalization cannot create a dearth of Indian human values. This is evident in the central scheme named Vayoshree – formulated for senior citizens under the poverty line (BPL). Vayoshri Yojana
Under this scheme, people above 60 years belong to the BPL category will be provided with physical aids and assistive devices. These facilities will be available in camps organised from July 16 to August 4 in the Jaipur. Vayoshri Yojana

To ensure that the camp is arranged as per the plan and all the overall benefit of the Yojana is delivered to the attendees, social justice and empowerment department minister Arun Chaturvedi helmed a meeting for discussing the important information about the arrangement of the camps. The main agenda of the meeting was to ensure effective implementation of Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana.
Ministry of social justice and empowerment (MoSJE) will bear the entire cost of the aids and assistive devices. As many as 2,000 senior citizens in each district are expected to be benefitted from the scheme. Vayoshri Yojana
For age-related physical impairment including low vision, hearing impairment, loss of teeth and locomotor disability, the beneficiaries will be provided with eight physical aids and assisted-living devices. Additionally, the beneficiaries will be provided with walking sticks, elbow crutches, walkers, tripods, hearing aids, wheelchair, artificial dentures and spectacles. Vayoshri Yojana
For the purpose of extending the benefits of the Yojana, the social justice and empowerment department has also joined hands with other government agencies and departments. Every person involved in conducting the camps has been directed to ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach the beneficiaries effectively and efficiently.
Officials also informed that the dates for Vayoshree camps have been finalized. These camps will be organized at the JMC zone and will help people aged above 60 years to mitigate their old-age issues by leading a productive life.
