    Celebration of Holi Festivals

It’s the first day of March and there are just 12 days to go for Holi, the first biggest festival of Hindus that marks the beginning of spring festival. The schools are already winding up with the final exams, the fashion world has just launched its Spring/Summer 2017 collection and the hotels and resorts around the country have set the stage for colourful Holi festivals.

Knowing that it’s hard to avoid the neighbourhood kids that somehow end up splashing you with colours, why not enjoy this festival with everyone?

Here are 5 bare essentials that you ought to have for Holi.

    1. The Traditional White Outfits

Wearing a black or navy blue outfit is a total waste! The colour out-shadows the vibrant colours of the festival. Not to mention you look like a punk, straight out from those western high school movies.

    1. A Super-Awesome Playlist

With all those peppy, ‘groovesome’ numbers like “Badri ki Dulhaniya” and “Go Pagal” released this year, it would be a shame if you don’t include them on your dance playlist this year. But while you add the perky numbers, don’t forget to include classics like “Rang Barse”, “Holi Khele Raghuveera”, “Do me a favour let’s play holi” and “Balam Pichkari” etc. The music should be so awesome that you just can’t help, but dance to them

    1. Lots of Water Balloons

Water balloons remind us of good old childhood days where we declared water balloon war against the kids next door. In time, it roped in western touches and eventually developed into the sophisticated Paintball! Don’t worry it’s never too old to recall the good old days. If you’ve a younger sibling, niece and nephew at home just give them company!

    1. Bhang Laddus and Thandai

Holi without Thandais (Indian milk shakes) and Bhang laddus is incomplete. Even the goodie-two-shoes let their wild side out on the festival day and end up having bhang goodies. You ought to be living under the rocks if you haven’t had them at least once in your life.

    1. Holi Bombs

Beautiful colours floating in air with people wildly dancing in the background paints the most ultimate picture! Holi bombs are in trends these days. Most resorts and hotels blast holi bombs that let out beautiful colours around.
