Yes! That’s true. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and wannabe CM of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot held press conferences separately at the same time on Monday. Union Human Resource Development Minister and BJP’s state election in-charge Prakash Javdekar and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Rathore took a dig at this contention between the Congress leaders.

During the BJP’s feedback program in Ajmer of Monday, ministers said that there is a split in the state Congress as former CM Gehlot and PCC chief Pilot addressed press conferences separately.

Javdekar said, ‘Gehlot and the Pilot do not want to give time to each other. This is the reason why Gehlot has addressed a PC in Delhi and Pilot in Jaipur at the same time.’

Congress leader’s allegations hit them back

Minister Rathore gave a curt reply on the allegations made against the Raje government relating to the farmers. Rathore said, ‘The Congress’s anti-farmer face has been exposed out after Gehlot objected to why CM Raje has waived off the electricity bill of 13 lakh farmers a day before the code of conduct. Gehlot has insulted these small farmers whose electricity is less than Rs 10,000. Gehlot also has a problem with bank loan waiver of the farmers up to Rs 50,000.’ he said.

On the issue of suicides by farmers in the state, Rathore said that this statement of Gehlot is an insult to the state’s culture and the farmers. If Gehlot has any list regarding farmers’ suicide case in the state, then he should present it.

Countering Gehlot’s statement regarding the Bajri mafia, Rathore said that this matter is under consideration in the Supreme Court. During the tenure of the Gehlot government, allotment of mines without auction was done. BJP Government has introduced a new mining policy and started allotment of the mines through auction.

Senior leader Javdekar also countered the allegations. On the Rafale deal issue, Javdekar said the Congress that is misleading people. In the Nirav Modi case, he said that ‘when our government took action against him, he left the country, the Congress had given him money.’
