The eligible women are given cash incentives worth INR 50,000 in three instalments.

The campaign Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was launched in 2015 and since then has brought a huge difference in the society. With the objective of protecting the girl child from social evils like sex determination and female foeticide, this program has helped out in escalating the sex ratio, particularly for children between 0-6.  Under this scheme, girl child is given a free bank account facility which is exempted from tax and the financial assistance help the girl’s parents to utilize the monetary aid for her education and marriage.

In India, the under nourishment of children is a severe issue and the scheme aims to resolve the same with best possible results through close monitoring and timely action.

In order to ensure the safety of women in below poverty line families, Prime Minister Modi came up with the Ujjwala Yojna to provide 5 Crore LPG connections to women. It was earlier reported that cooking food with unclean fuels poses a serious health hazard and considering the severity of the matter, the government decided to empower women by giving them LPGs.

Women Empowerment

Indian government introduced a new scheme for empowering women with Pradhan Mantri Mahila Shakti Kendra. In this, women in rural areas are empowered and assisted to create an environment whereby they realize their full potential. It includes women centric programs that are being carried out in a phased manner at national, state, district, and block levels.
