With the fifth edition of Rajasthan DigiFest, Department of Information Technology & Communication came up this year with ‘Technology for All’ theme. Government of Rajasthan hold the vision to ensure digitalization of the complete state not just niche section through Digital Rajasthan Scheme and technology festivals. Rajasthan DigiFest 2018

This time DigiFest held in the historic city of Bikaner. During this festival of technology numbers of sub events and activities hosted under the theme of ‘Technology for All’ wherein not just entrepreneur or students or IT experts participated, but general citizens also enjoyed and took back a memorable experience filled with knowledge.

Visionary and Highlights

Rajasthan DigiFest is a successful extension to Prime Minster Narendra Modi’s ambitious vision to make India digital and technical paragon before the world and Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje’s foresight to make our state a ‘Digisthan’. Rajasthan DigiFest has been playing an important role for skill development of young India.

DigiFest lined up these events that focus on giving startups, entrepreneurs, innovations, students and tech enthusiasts a platform to explore potential partnership, business opportunity, guidance, investment and learning.

Speakers at the event include influencers, business leaders and entrepreneurs like Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Manipal global education, Aarin Capirtal and founder of Akshay Patra, Padmaja Ruparel of Indian Angel Network. Amit Aggarwal, CEO and President of Supreme Aviation Inc, Smt. Kesan, Founder CEO of Space Kidz India.

Other expert speakers on technology and startups include Shradha Sharma, Founder & CEO of YourStory, Sauvik Banerjee, Vice Precident of TATA Industries and CTO of TATA CliQ. These influencers interacted with the bright and eager youth in the fest.

This 3-day long mega IT festival hosted 9 sub events- Hackathone, TechRush, EduHach, Green-a-thone,n StartUp fest, Emitra/ITGK, Exhibition and Job Fair.

During this fest, International Balloon Challenge was a tribute to the Missile Man of India and former President, late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The challenge essentially requires participants to build a working model of a payload to be flown into near space with a helium balloon. Thes TechRush, a fun run providing an incredible amalgamation of technology, sports and entertainment. About 10,000 enthusiasts participated in this marathon which was flagged off by veteran cricketer R. P. Singh.

Hackathon 5.0

In this 36 hours long challenge participants like coders, developers and designers were given a chance to innovate and offer ingenious solutions to bring out change in the state. They got a change to innovate on themes such as Bhamashah Yojana, E-mitra, AI, the IoT, AR/VR, blockchin, etc.

EduHack, Green-A-Thon and eMitra Hackathon are other tech amrathone were organized for to bring forward some ideas and solutions to make the world more sustainable. Participants were offered a platform to showcase their unique solutions related to sustainable energy as well as environmental issues.

Start Up Fest

Rajasthan is the birthplace of entrepreneurs and smart thinkers. In creative and successful start up creators and entrepreneurs interacted with participants and shared their wisdom to youth. Even participants had chance to share their innovative startup ideas and got assurance of getting support for their dreams for the betterment of our country.

Job fair: A commendable Success

Department of IT & Communication, Government of Rajasthan provided this great platform to promote employment and encourage youth to ‘start a new chapter to their career’. As the great success around 7000 job letters have given to the young job seekers. More than 150 companies such as banking, IT, retail, manufacturing and pharma, gathered under one roof to give opportunities to state’s aspiring youth. Rajasthan DigiFest 2018

Exhibition: When Robo ‘Budhia’ stole the show

Rajasthan DigiFest is being held to change the technical scenario of state and it’s succeeding accordingly. The exhibition was a showcase to the success stories and materialism where the humanoid robot ‘Budhia’ was adorned. During the fest, robot ‘Budhia’ grabbed everyone’s attention. Budhia has been designed to give people all the information about Bhamashah Yojana and also to resolve all the problems relating to it. Budhia, which can speak 19 different languages, also did yoga and some jigs to entertain the audience on demand.

Other than ‘Budhia’ there was a universe of new inventions and cutting-edge ideas by the young scientists. Government of Rajasthan again provided a large ‘Tech Stage’ to the innovators to showcase and collaborate with various companies to work further on their smart ideas. Rajasthan DigiFest 2018

On the Last day of DigiFest Chief Minister of Rajasthan Smt. Vasundhara Raje visited the venue to address the participants. CM Raje was received an overwhelming welcome by the participants and volunteers. Rajasthan DigiFest 2018

Chief Minister inaugurated some ambitious and technological project by the Government of Rajasthan include ABHAY- Command centres, Rajasthan Security Operations Centre, Disaster Recovery Data Centre, Raj Tech-Presence Projects, Raj wifi project to connect about 2500 Gram Panchayats with internet, Raj Wildlife surveillance system to keep eye on wildlife in all the sanctuaries in state and Raj e-Sanchaar 2.0. She assured people to make these project a success like every project of the BJP Government.

CM Raje also unveiled her vision 2023 projects wishing the thumping victory and support of people, yet again. After that CM Raje and YourStory web-portal’s CEO Shradha Sharma launched Rajasthan Startup Report which is based on startups by entrepreneurs from state. Government of Rajasthan’s ‘Digital Rajasthan Yatra Report- Second Edition’,‘PeopleFirst’ and ‘e-Gov’ books are launched by CM Vasundhara Raje and fest influencers.

During the concluding session CM Raje expressed happiness and congratulated Start up entrepreneurs, students and tech enthusiast for their commendable effort to build a better tomorrow. ‘Rajasthan is now unstoppable and not going to look back’ and ‘We dream for a better India, Let’s urge together to make it possible’ CM Raje Said. State Government supported to send 100 startups to the Silicon Valley, CM Raje congratulated them with the best wishes.

She always gives credit to her team for digital development in state, so this time. Smt. Raje said ‘I have the best team’. She received the deserving honor of ‘Chief Minister of the Year’ for her efforts to implement Prime Minister’s Digital India campaign for benefitting the common man, for the second conjugative year in June. Rajasthan DigiFest 2018

CM Raje distributed awards to all the winner participants from various competitions during ‘DigiFest-2018’ and cheered them for their ambitious projects and bright future. 

 

More than 25,000 participants and IT experts from about 50 start-ups from across the country participated in the fest. They shared their success stories and took back more technological knowledge and insights. Government of Rajasthan lives and fulfills the dream to make state a Digital strength, so the efforts and developments will keep becoming milestones.
