Amidst war predictions and heightened tension at Indo-Pak border, PM launched a warm and welcoming #Sandesh2Soldier Campaign this Sunday, on October 23. The drive gives everyone an opportunity to spread love and joys among brave army men, who spend their festival in isolation, away from their loved ones in order to ensure our safety. Participants can send their audio clips, video recordings, graphics, text messages or handwritten messages through different portals.
Following its inauguration nationwide on the upcoming occasion of Diwali, hundreds of messages floated on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Several natives and eminent personalities sent their messages for the noble cause. Popular names like Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Amir Khan, Singer Kailash Kher, Union Minister Peeyush Goyal and Suresh Prabhu, TV Journalist Rajat Sharma, Cricketer Virender Sehwag are on the list.
Seeing the immense success of this movement, Doordarshan has decided to broadcast a special program for common men to share their love and wished for the armed wishes.
