A Collaboration With South-East Asian Countries Can Nourish Rajasthan’s Trade and Development – CM Raje

In the recently held business summit, CM Vasundhara Raje highlighted the possibilities and importance of trade relationships with elite south-east Asian countries, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar,  and Vietnam. While addressing the inaugural  session of CLMV business conclave at ITC Rajputana Sheraton, she highlighted the fact that, Rajasthan is a successful business partner. The state have had triumphant and rewarding relations with Japan and Singapore.

Highlighting the benefits and likelihoods of the collaboration, CM Raje pointed that, they can consider the joint effort  with CLMVs for various developments of the state in the fields of farming, manufacturing, tourism and jewelry. She invited the traders and governments of CLMV (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam) for business and investment in Rajasthan so that all distinct countries and states can have the socio-economic enhancements and developments.

CM Raje talked about the prospects of trade by emphasizing that, Myanmar is world renowned for precious gem stone, Ruby. Also, Jaipur is the hub of colourful gemstones and have talented artisans who are famous for chiseling  and cutting the stones. With the help of mutual help, all the countries can really be greatly benefitted. She also urged, the foreign attendants of this conclave that, they must tour the Rajasthan along with Jaipur. The state is known for its emboldened history, historical monuments, forts and vivid culture which amuse the visitors.

Central Commerce State Minister, Mrs. Nirmala Sitamaran mentioned that, the conclave is an important part of Look-East and Act-East Policies. This is quite an honour that, this time Rajasthan will handle this arrangement. In September, 2017, Rajasthan will organise, the International Textile Fair, named “Vastra-2017”. Mrs. Sitamaran, invited all the representatives of CLMV countries to attend the fest.

The session was also addressed by Myanmar Minister of Commerce, Dr. Than Myint, Vietnam Vice Minister of Industries  and Commerce Mr. Kao Kyo Hung, CII President Dr. Naushad Forbs Mr. Chandrajeet Bannerjee.
