This is the first rain of the season and the water reservoirs, enriched with extreme levels of water are boasting their affluence while playing with the strokes of heavy airflows. These lines reveal the successful story of Khera village, which falls under the Lakhanpur Gram Panchayat. Lakhanpur Gram Panchayat comes under village panchayat committee of Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. Here, Mukhyamantri Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan has put the arduous efforts to make the villages self-sufficient in terms of water supply. The campaign has proved itself as a turning point for the ground water levels of the rural regions. The native villagers are wholeheartedly accepting the laudatory fact that, the campaign run by the government has nourished the prospering grass roots of the rural areas.
In the first phase, there were several villages under Mukhyamantri Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan and the campaign has yielded commendable developing results. In the year, 2015-16, under the influence of Mukhyamantri Jal Swawlamban Abhiyan, a sum of Rs. 8 lakh was allotted for the percolation tank anicut for the village. The decision was taken according to the preferences of the village dwellers only. After the execution, the first rain itself brought droves of water to the percolation tank.

The diligent villagers admitted that, now they will get a fulfilling quantity of water for agricultural chores. Also, as there is a notable rise in the underground water levels, the water scarcity problems for safe and potable water will be solved.
