Ivanka Trump Attends Royal Dinner with PM Modi, Here’s the Menu

The Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2017 oragnised in Hyderabad had several dignitaries and entrepreneurs from across the world. However, the centre of attraction certainly was Ms. Ivanka Trump who was a special guest at the event. Leading a delegation of senior White House officials, Ms. Trump’s visit to India was special to both India and US.

In order to arrange a grand welcome for Ivanka Trump, the advisor and daughter to President Donald Trump, a royal reception dinner was hosted by PM Narendra Modi. This dinning was arranged at the Taj Falaknuma Palace, the place which oozes regality and grace.

At the venue, a lavish five-course dinner was organized for Ms. Trump and others and a unique thing about the dinner was that the guests were seated on the world’s longest dining table. It can accommodate 101 people at a time.

Talking about the food, it was prepared by a host of culinary experts in order to present the scrumptious delicacies. The lavish menu contained a blend of Indian and exotic ingredients. Some major menu items were- Dahi ke Kabab, Murg Pista ka Salan, Kubani ke Malai Kofta, Gosht Shikampuri Kebab, and Sitaphal Kulfi.

The dinner was presented under 5-course meal consisting of-

  • Aghaz (Soup)
  • Waqfa (Sorbet)
  • Mezban (Appetizers)
  • Mashgool Dastarkhwan (Main course)
  • Zauq e Shahi (dessert)

For this gala dinner, Ms. Ivanka Trump chose to don an exquisite Tory Burch Gown beautified with gold print and embellishments. It also had pink flowers tucked in between the print that gave a feminine touch to the attire. She paired this dress with simple drop-pearl earrings and kept her hair in a neatly centre-parted bun.

This is the 8th edition of GES being jointly hosted by NITI Aayog and US government. The event is focused on women entrepreneurs and their empowerment. It’s a three-day program that will be concluded today.

During her visit, Ms Trump not only excitedly took part in the ceremony speech and panel discussion but also praised India and PM Modi’s leadership. She also took a walk through some of India’s technological innovations and got a glimpse of India’s rich culture and heritage. Later, she visited the famous Golconda Fort and happily posed for pictures.
