Health Department Plans Rs. 2,364 For State’s Wellness

    Programme implementation plans is occupying the time of health department officials as they are seeking to get their proposal confirmed. With this the health department is seeking funds from the centre. On coming Monday, the health department officials will meet the ministry of health and family welfare for related discussions.

    With company of Veenu Gupta and Navin Jain, National Health Mission director, all the pivotal officers of health department will partake in the national programme coordination commitee meeting.

    A scheme proposed by them requires Rs. 2,634 crore for the execution. The center and state share will be 60-40.

    Once the plan gets approval, these funds will b put into the works like population control,immunization, stabilizing infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate. From a broader perspective, it will take care of the health care infrastructure of urban and rural areas.

    This fund will also put its part in prominent programmes like tuberculosis, blindness programme, leprosy and mental health.

    This meeting holds an important facet as the programmes for health facilities are crucial and all of them may not get approval altogether.

    Where Rajasthan needs better funds for overall improvement of all health facilities, center may take it as a big investment on the first phase. 10 districts of Rajasthan are in great need of health improvement because of bad infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate.

    Apart from these, other three districts are in tribal category and need special attention.

    The health department of the state has thought this to bring some considerable changes in the health sector of the state. Rajasthan being the largest state needs some noteworthy and bold decisions for improving its health and wellness sector. If center gives the right approval, the fabricated schemes can give a new shift to the wellness of the sand state.
