Congresss List

Congress leaders are known for their several gimmicks to earn the vote banks, something which remains with BJP leaders with ‘Fevicol ka jod’. However, Rahul Gandhi is apparently not able to turn people into his party’s favour this time. Congresss List

As the desert state is nearing to its polling date, it is not just BJP and Congress which are emerging as the contesting parties; state ministers have floated their own parties as to trying their luck in bagging the Chief Minister’s seat. Hanuman Beniwal’s Rashtriya Loktantrik Party and Ghanshyam Tiwari’s Bharat Vahini Party are the two such parties.

As for the nomination, incumbent party BJP has already submitted its candidate list, while oozing confidence in their members and affirming that they are not doubting their victory for the second time in a row. Led by Vasundhara Raje, BJP won with a thumping majority. 25 new faces have been nominated by BJP, and as many as 12 women have been nominated. Also, Lok Sabha MP named Sona Ram Choudhary has also been nominated along with 85 sitting MLAs. Congresss List

Congress, however, hasn’t yet filed its nomination list and the reasons are clear. The delay in the list is mainly because of two reasons, stated in the increasing order of prominence. The first and most important reason why the Congress is lagging behind submitting its list is the infighting between senior party leaders Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot. While the party was already in a state of dilemma, it was Rameshwar Dudi who stepped in to intensify the fury. Congresss List

Dudi had political clashes with Sachin Pilot on the candidate selection, as the two could not reach a consensus in their opinions. Not only for other candidates the party is also in a fix with designating a constituency. For instance, seeing Sachin Pilot’s failures in Dausa and Ajmer have put the ball in Party President’s Rahul Gandhi’s court.

The second reason is quite simple but not conclusive yet. The catch is that Congress President had no clue about who to choose from which constituency; he was looking for a reference, which the BJP list served him well. Now, Congress knows who is contesting from where and hence, they are trying to match it up with them. Congresss List

The BJP party members are still discussing to announce the remaining names. Chief minister Vasundhara Raje, state election in-charge Prakash Javadekar, state in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna and state chief Madan Lal Saini are a part of the core committee which will be finalizing the final names and announcing them soon.

The first mover advantage stays with BJP, as it has its own mind. Rest, time should tell.
