Congress party has outraged over Supreme Court’s decision to allow BJP’s legislature party leader BS Yeddyurappa take the oath as CM of Karnataka. The Congress announced to observe Save Democracy Day’ across the country on Friday to protest Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala’s “collusion with the BJP”. Congress units in Goa, Bihar, Meghalaya and Manipur said to approach respective state governors and form the government by virtue of being the single largest party. To “safeguard democratic principles and the sanctity of the Constitution”, state chiefs of Congress have been asked to give memorandums to respective Governors to urge President Ram Nath Kovind.

Karnataka’s Governor has been accused of undermining the dignity of office and behaved in unconstitutional manner. Even one of the Congress leaders claimed to expose the deeds of BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah.

BJP’s response on claims of killing Democracy

In response of Congress’s claims, Amit Shah accused Congress of being an “opportunist”. He called the party had made the alliance offer to JD(S) for “petty political gains” and not for the welfare of the state. Talking about various tactics used by Congress in past for wining are as follows:
