CM Raje Remembers her School Days on Teachers Day: Highlights of the Program

    Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje addressed more than 35,000 teachers from the state on Teachers Day. During a mass meeting organized at Amroodon ka Bagh in Jaipur, CM Raje remembered her school days. Talking not like a politician CM Raje shared the incidents of her childhood about how teachers can change their student’s life. Raje said that she had the least interest in mathematics and used to get fewer marks.

    Raje said ‘A teacher came just before the examinations in the school and gave coaching to weaker students.’ CM Raje said that due to the efforts of the teacher she got interested in the subject and got good marks.  ‘I cannot forget that teacher of my school.’ She said in a lighter tone.

    ‘Teachers improved the education in the state’

    Giving credit to the teachers for the state’s improved ranking in the education sector, CM thanked all the teachers. CM Raje claimed that the state ranked 26th in 2013 under the former Congress government, and today it ranked second. ‘No other state in the country has made as much progress. It is your hard work and I am indebted, forever.’ CM Raje further added.

    In her address to teachers, CM Raje claimed that the government had recruited 78,000 teachers. The recruitment of 87,000 more teachers is in the pipeline and will be conducted by the end of the month. ‘When we came to power, 50% of the teacher’s posts were vacant. Today the vacant posts have been reduced to 20 percent and after the forthcoming recruitments, the vacant post will be reduced to 2%.’ CM Raje proudly announced.

    Government to send 100 teachers abroad for training  

    CM Raje advised Education Minister Vasudev Devnani that the education department should send teacher for training abroad. Raje suggested following the model of the department of science and technology, which had recently sent 91 students to Silicon Valley. ‘The education department should similarly send 100 teachers under the training program.

    During the program, CM Raje distributed laptops, scooters, and bicycles to meritorious students under various ongoing government schemes.
