BJP vs Congress

As the Assembly Elections are inching closer in Rajasthan, the voters are going to have to decide the fate of the state by electing an efficient government. Now that the third party front in Rajasthan has completely gone out of the picture, the choice is clearly between BJP and Congress. Notably, both the parties had their share of reign in the state and hence it becomes vital to compare as to which one of these parties have had a better governance. BJP vs Congress

So, here is a look at the highlighting facts about BJP and Congress and their tuning with the voters in the past few years. BJP vs Congress

When it all started in 2013 BJP vs Congress

No government is perfect and it’s practically impossible to impress the entire population because everyone thinks differently. However, when it comes to garnering support from majority, one cannot deny how efficient BJP has been at communicating with the voters.

When BJP came to power in the state in 2013 after the unmatchable Modi wave that hit the entire nation, Rajasthan witnessed a similar situation with the saffron party led by Smt. Vasundhara Raje sweeping majority of seats. Also, these elections recorded the best performance of BJP while it was touted as the worst for Congress

When BJP Came to Power BJP vs Congress

The Bhartiya Janta Party in Rajasthan led by CM Raje came to the front at a time when the expectations were too high because the people were eager to get rid of Congress. Throughout these 5 years, the government took up the task of launching a myriad of schemes and policies. BJP vs Congress

However, the party not just launched these campaigns but also communicate the idea and mission of these programs to the public so that the beneficiaries can actually avail them. Be it the Kisan Chaupals or the healthcare scheme for elderly people, the pay ensured that the public takes interest in whatever is happening and how it is happening.

Apart from this, the state efficiently took forward the schemes launched by the centre and implemented them at state level. From best e-governance state to India’s first e-ratna award, Rajasthan gained recognition and set an example for other states to follow.

When Congress Resorted to Provoking the Public

Congress was already ruling the state when the elections took place but somehow the image of the party was tainted by constant reports of scams and corruption charges. What happened at the centre reflected on the state level but the party couldn’t save itself from the big blow of the elections.

The party could have done a lot when it had the time but either it didn’t make an effort for the development at all or was too aloof from the public. Clearly, it didn’t have any concrete evidence to support its good governance but interestingly enough the party was always active in provoking the voters against the opposition.

Apparently, the party didn’t really care enough until it was dethroned by BJP. Moreover, the way Gehlot lost the 2013 elections it became quite evident that the party needed a new leader. Although Sachin Pilot is going to lead the party for the upcoming electoral battle, the party is still divided on the decision of picking a name for the CM face.
